We have so much to say about this line of the Proclamation!
This is what I can’t stop thinking about...what is the lesson we learn when we consider the BIRTH, LIFE and SACRIFICE of Christ?
What do we learn about each of those three events separately? And what is the message of all of them combined?
It is interesting that it says “God the Father has given...”
Given.
What is the meaning of that gift in your life?
Perhaps you will write down each of the three words across the top of your journal page.
The Birth. The Life. The Sacrifice.
Maybe you will list the gifts, the reason, the lessons under each.
Why were the words divine, incomparable, and infinite chosen to describe each event?
What will your study of this one line help you to understand this week?
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
I've always loved the idea of restoring. At a time in the world when Heavenly Father was being preached as a strong, powerful, angry God, full of justice but no mercy, He was able to come to His son in a grove of trees and restore His name. Show that He is a God of love and mercy, that He answers prayers, that He cares about us and knows us on an individual basis. He restores His church while He restores His children. He uses the Atonement of Jesus Christ to restore (bring back) His children to Him. What an amazing concept.
